OMTAO is located between Sunset Bungalows and Cashew Resort on Koh Chang’s longest beach - Aow Yai. OMTAO has four bungalows with private bathroom. OMTAO offers Yoga and you can rent bicycles to explore the island.

Please, don’t confuse Koh Chang - Ranong with the larger and more developed Koh Chang on the eastern coast of Thailand, close to the Cambodian boarder.

You find Koh Chang – Ranong in the Andaman Sea only an hour away by boat from Ranong Town. There are four boats that will take you to Koh Chang: at 9.30am, 12.00 noon, 2.00 and 3.00 pm.

Although Omtao belongs to Cashew Resort the quickest way to our place is to get off the boat at Sunset Bungalows and walk 50m on the beach to the right.

Koh Chang is still one of those islands that has kept its natural beauty and simplicity - which is getting more and more difficult to find in Thailand. It is a wonderful place to relax and withdraw from hectic life and to find peace and tranquility.

If you are an explorer - there are possibilities for walking in the jungle and along the beach, through rubber- and cashew nut plantations meeting friendly Thai people in small settlements or even discovering a group of hornbills in the trees! The long beach is suitable for any kind of sports activities like jogging, volleyball, kiting etc.

You want to relax and hang out? No problem, you will find plenty of trees for hanging up your hammock and enough restaurants for enjoying delicious Thai food.

There is a dive school at Cashew Resort that offers liveaboard trips to the most beautiful divesites in Thailand at the National Parks of Kho Surin and Kho Similan.

The Cashew Resort - 150 meters south of OMTAO - is the largest resort on the island with plenty of space, a snooker table, and a restaurant offering delicious Thai food and a wide range of western dishes. Their speciality is an assortment of home made wine.

In a private atmosphere the owner Mr.Yongyuth looks after the guests with the help of his sister and a nice, caring family. 'Pi Meow' also offers boat trips to surrounding National Park islands.
